TL;DR
  • Powernaut Energy Operations Workspace is live on SAP Store
  • Three connector editions: DER Flexibility (solar and battery), Utilities & Customer, and E-Mobility
  • Compatible with SAP Distributed Energy Resources, SAP S/4HANA Utilities and SAP Customer Experience
  •  Bridges the meter-to-cash world with the flexibility economy while keeping data and trading with the utility

Ghent, Belgium, July 16,2026. Powernaut today announced that its Energy Operations Workspace™ is now available on the SAP Store. Three connector editions cover renewable energy assets, customer billing and e-mobility, making the platform available inside the SAP workflows that energy companies already use.

Built on SAP Business AI Platform, SAP Distributed Energy Resources (SAP DER) is designed to help utilities orchestrate distributed energy resources data across technical, commercial and analytical systems, providing a trusted data backbone that links assets, agreements and customer interactions.

Within this SAP enterprise foundation, Powernaut's Energy Operations Workspace™ adds operational flexibility capabilities for solar, batteries, EV charging and other distributed assets: its connectors bring dispatch, forecasting, settlement, metering and trading-position data into SAP utilities workflows such as customer billing, CRM and finance. This helps connect the traditional meter-to-cash world with the emerging flexibility and DER economy while keeping utility data, business logic and the customer relationship under the utility's control.

The new integrations make Powernaut’s DER Flexibility Connector for solar and battery assets, Utilities & Customer Connector, and E-Mobility Connector available for use with SAP Distributed Energy Resources, SAP S/4HANA Utilities, and SAP Customer Experience solutions.

“When energy companies tell us they want renewable energy operations inside SAP, the right response is to put them there. That's what these three connectors do. The trading stays with our customers' desks. The data stays with their teams. Powernaut is the layer that makes sure the decisions actually land on every asset” said Florentijn Degroote, CEO and Co-founder of Powernaut.

“SAP’s strong presence in the utility sector, combined with Powernaut’s expertise in Distributed Energy Resource management, creates a compelling joint value proposition. For utilities already using SAP platform,  to manage customer onboarding and energy flows, this partnership offers a faster, lower-risk path to DER adoption for both B2C and B2B customers.” said Jordi Masip Montserrat, Industry Business Unit - Utilities at SAP.

Powernaut is headquartered in Belgium and operates across Europe. Reference customers include EDF Luminus (Belgium), Romande Energie (Switzerland) and DSG (Netherlands)
