We are building the next generation power plant, powered by end-consumers, instead of the traditional large-scale power plants.

This one doesn't take fossil fuels or radioactive isotopes, but instead manages the renewable energy and flexible devices (cars, heat pumps, ...) of end-consumers to generate more or less energy.

The job

As our Business Development Manager, focussing on the DACH region, you'll be at the forefront of Powernaut's expansion, driving to our future growth. You'll take full ownership of the customer journey, building enduring partnerships with key energy stakeholders across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. From unearthing transformative opportunities to seamlessly onboarding clients and championing their long-term success, you'll be the driving force and trusted face behind Powernaut's most critical customer relationships.

You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, working hand-in-hand with our founders to shape strategic decisions and ensure our collective efforts align perfectly with Powernaut's ambitious vision.

Here's what your impactful role will entail:

  • Crafting and executing a sales strategy uniquely tailored to Europe with a focus on the DACH region.

  • Identifying and engaging C-suite executives and management, building a robust network at the highest levels through innovative, out-of-the-box approaches.

  • Building and meticulously managing a high-value sales pipeline, guiding complex deals from initial prospecting through to successful closure.

  • Collaborating closely with our product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure our solutions precisely meet — and exceed — client needs.

  • Negotiating intricate contracts that deliver exceptional, long-term value for both our partners and Powernaut.

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging deep industry insights to position our software as an indispensable solution for energy flexibility.

Your day-to-day will be dynamic and impactful:

  • Proactively identifying and engaging high-potential prospects within your focused region.

  • Designing and delivering compelling, tailored pitches that resonate with stakeholder needs.

  • Closing significant deals that align with Powernaut’s mission and revenue goals.

  • Leading onboarding and implementation efforts, ensuring seamless integration with our cutting-edge platform.

  • Continuously monitoring customer satisfaction and providing proactive, hands-on support to ensure their unwavering success.

  • Spotting and capitalizing on upselling opportunities, collaborating with clients to expand their adoption of our innovative solutions.

The profile

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in the energy or technology sector, with a strong track record in sales, project management, pre-sales, implementation consulting, or similar client-facing roles.

  • deep, nuanced understanding of the energy landscape, particularly the intricate challenges, burgeoning opportunities, and cutting-edge solutions related to energy flexibility.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales lifecycle, from initial outreach and closing complex deals to seamless implementation and ongoing success management.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and German are essential. Fluency in French or Dutch is a significant bonus.
